Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu Mutate Voltron build centered on Snapdax, Apex of the Hunt. The primary game plan relies on deploying low-cost, resilient, or evasive non-Human creatures in the early turns, then mutating Snapdax onto them by Turn 4. This trigger removes an opposing threat, gains life, and creates an immediate double strike attacker. The deck can quickly eliminate single players using infect hosts like Plague Stinger or damage amplifiers like Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar. Its mana curve is supported by a solid suite of two-mana mana rocks and lands. Card advantage comes from efficient black draw spells and enchantments. The interaction package features premier Mardu exile removal and asymmetric sweepers like Mythos of Snapdax and Ruinous Ultimatum. The deck's chief vulnerability is its reliance on a single tall mutate creature that must survive over multiple combat rounds to eliminate three separate opponents.
