Deck overview

Talrand, Sky Summoner commands a classic mono-blue draw-go control deck that turns reactive spells into an evasive aerial army. The strategy centers on deploying Talrand on Turn 4, then passing with open mana to control the stack and board with cheap counterspells and bounce spells. Each instant and sorcery creates a 2/2 flying Drake token, gradually building an overwhelming airborne army while engines like Archmage Emeritus and Coastal Piracy keep your hand fully stocked. The deck wins by accumulating 5 to 7 Drakes by Turn 7 and attacking over three combat rotations to defeat all three opponents by Turn 10. While exceptionally resilient against individual threats and spell-based combos, the deck remains vulnerable to uncounterable board wipes and aggressive go-wide token strategies.
