Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Rakdos strategy built around Ozai, the Phoenix King. Ozai serves as both a primary combat threat and a mana-storing engine, utilizing haste, trample, firebending 4, and a static ability that stops unspent mana from emptying between steps and phases. By turning unspent mana into a permanent red pool, Ozai quickly reaches the six-mana threshold needed to gain flying and indestructible. The deck leverages this resilient commander by stacking redundant damage doublers and extra combat spells, such as Berserkers' Onslaught, Gratuitous Violence, Full Throttle, and Relentless Assault, eliminating opponents through commander damage. A broad removal suite featuring Blasphemous Act, Bedevil, and Final Act clears blockers and opposing threats, while backup threats like Hellkite Charger ensure ongoing offensive pressure if Ozai is answered.
