Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color Dragon tribal deck helmed by Scion of the Ur-Dragon. The primary strategy focuses on ramping during the early turns to secure all five colors of mana, then casting Scion to act as a repeatable, instant-speed Dragon tutor from the command zone. Scion copies high-impact Dragons to adapt to the game state: Ancient Silver Dragon for explosive card advantage, Ancient Copper Dragon or Old Gnawbone for immense mana acceleration, and Atarka, World Render for lethal double-striking commander damage. The deck also features secondary reanimation lines with Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Bladewing the Risen to cheat out Dragons that Scion puts into the graveyard. A game-ending infinite combat loop is possible with Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient and Hellkite Charger. While the deck has massive threat density and explosive damage potential, it is vulnerable to color-fixing friction from a basic-heavy land base and lacks dedicated stack protection.
