Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet draw-velocity strategy commanded by Arjun, the Shifting Flame. Its central engine relies on casting spells to trigger Arjun's bottom-and-redraw ability, rapidly cycling through the library to trigger payoffs like Psychosis Crawler, Niv-Mizzet, Parun, and Psychic Corrosion. The mana base features a dense suite of 2-CMC and 3-CMC artifacts that accelerate Arjun into play around turn 5. Once Arjun and a primary payoff share the battlefield on turn 6, chaining low-cost cantrips and burst draw spells inflicts massive burn or mill across the table. While the deck boasts immense card velocity and strong digging power once operational, it requires significant mana to deploy its high-cost centerpieces. Lacking fast mana staples, compact infinite combos, and heavy stax locks, the deck plays at a focused casual power level that rewards careful resource management and strategic wheel timing.
