Deck overview

Teval, the Balanced Scale commands a Sultai Zombie tribal deck combining self-mill, land ramp, and token generation. The deck ramps in the early turns to cast Teval by turn 4. Once attacking, Teval repeatedly mills cards, puts lands from the graveyard onto the battlefield, and creates 2/2 Zombie Druid tokens whenever cards leave the graveyard. The strategy uses tribal lords such as Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Cemetery Reaper to turn tokens into lethal attackers, while Wonder grants evasion from the graveyard. Alternative win paths include life drain from Diregraf Captain, Plague Belcher, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or table-wide life loss via Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. While the deck rebuilds effectively from destruction sweepers with recursion like Victimize and Dread Return, it lacks fast tutors and is vulnerable to exile-based removal and graveyard hate.
