Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo Mono-Green Stompy build designed to exploit Ghalta, Primal Hunger's power-based cost reduction. By curving out with aggressively statted creatures such as Pugnacious Hammerskull, Steel Leaf Champion, and Tangleweave Armor, the deck amasses 10 to 12 power by Turn 3 or 4, enabling Ghalta to enter the battlefield for just two green mana. Once Ghalta lands, massive card-draw engines like Rishkar's Expertise, Garruk's Uprising, and Thickest in the Thicket replenish the hand, ensuring continuous gas. The deck converts its overwhelming battlefield presence into rapid eliminations through trample damage and lethal overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth. While vulnerable to mass board wipes, its dense reserve of standalone large creatures and redundant mana acceleration provides fast recovery and independent paths to victory.
