Deck overview

This Golgari deck utilizes Witherbloom, the Balancer to turn a wide board of creature tokens into massive mana acceleration for instants and sorceries. Early turns focus on accelerating mana and establishing recurring token generators such as Ophiomancer, Chatterfang, Squirrel General, and Sedgemoor Witch. Once the commander enters for as little as two mana, heavy sorceries like Shamanic Revelation, In Garruk's Wake, and Preposterous Proportions cost only their colored mana pips. The deck converts this resource advantage into victory either by overwhelming opponents with massively buffed creature attacks or by resolving the two-card infinite combo of Witherbloom Apprentice and Chain of Smog to drain the entire table. Its primary strengths are explosive draw bursts, resilient board recovery, and high mana efficiency.
