Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov stax and life-drain strategy led by Kambal, Consul of Allocation. The primary game plan is to restrict opponent actions using rule-setting pieces such as Rule of Law, Archon of Emeria, and Cursed Totem while taxing attacks via Ghostly Prison and Sphere of Safety. As opponents struggle against these resource and spell-casting bottlenecks, passive drain effects from Kambal, Liesa, Shroud of Dusk, and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse steadily deplete their life totals. The deck concludes games through the deterministic combo of Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Sanguine Bond, or by resolving a lethal Torment of Hailfire.
