Deck overview

This deck is an Esper topdeck control build centered on Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. Its core strategy revolves around manipulating the top of the library to cheat high-impact, odd-cost spells into play for free whenever Yennett attacks. Early turns focus on establishing mana through mana rocks and curating topdeck order using cards like Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, and Ponder. Once Yennett attacks on Turn 5, she deploys devastating haymakers such as Void Winnower, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Breach the Multiverse ahead of curve. These threats establish heavy asymmetric board control and stax-like restrictions, choking opposing resources while assembling an overwhelming flying and Eldrazi beatdown presence. The deck incorporates interactive pieces like Space Beleren, Exchange of Words, and Shared Fate to disrupt opposing synergies. While the deck possesses strong permanent removal and crushing late-game haymakers, it is vulnerable to spot removal on its commander due to a lack of haste enablers and cheap countermagic.
