Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu Vampire tribal aggro and aristocrats deck commanded by Edgar Markov. The central strategy revolves around Edgar's Eminence ability, which produces a free 1/1 Vampire token whenever any Vampire spell is cast, allowing the deck to flood the board without committing extra mana. In the early turns, the deck curves out with low-cost Vampires, establishing a dense token army. By the mid-game, this board is amplified using tribal lords, +1/+1 counter distribution, and heavy combat multipliers like Shared Animosity and Sanctum Seeker. When combat is obstructed, aristocrat drain engines like Vindictive Vampire, Vengeful Bloodwitch, and Anje, Maid of Dishonor convert creature deaths into direct life loss for opponents. The deck features dependable card flow via Idol of Oblivion, Welcoming Vampire, and Champion of Dusk, though its reliance on combat damage and a tap-land-heavy mana base leaves it vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers.
