Deck overview

This five-color Dragon tribal deck is commanded by The Ur-Dragon, utilizing its Eminence ability to reduce the casting cost of all Dragon spells right from the command zone. The deck focuses on ramping through the early turns with land search, mana rocks, and cost reducers like Herald's Horn and Dragonspeaker Shaman. In the mid-to-late game, it deploys enormous flying Dragons that double as removal, card draw, and token engines. Payoffs like Atarka, World Render, Utvara Hellkite, and Scourge of Valkas quickly build overwhelming board states that close out games through massive combat steps and direct damage. While the deck possesses explosive power and high synergy, its high average mana curve, reliance on tap-lands, and lack of cheap countermagic make it vulnerable to fast combo decks and well-timed mass removal spells.
