Deck overview

This deck combines Selesnya Angel tribal aggression with a unique combat-control engine piloted by Storm, Windrider. Storm makes all creatures with flying unable to attack you or block your creatures. By casting cheap targeted cantrips and combat tricks on opponents' attackers during their beginning of combat step, the deck grants them flying to deflect attacks toward other players. Meanwhile, an army of high-stat, lifelink-heavy Angels attacks with near-total evasion. The deck accelerates into play with green ramp and white cost reducers like Giada, Font of Hope, transitions into compounding anthem effects such as Archangel of Thune and Righteous Valkyrie, and closes games through decisive aerial combat damage around turn 7. While formidable in creature-heavy combat environments, the list carries vulnerabilities to noncreature combo strategies and mass board exile effects due to its reliance on creature-based permanents and limited stack interaction.
