Gev, Scaled Scorch cEDH by smileywaffles

Format: Commander

Commander: Gev, Scaled Scorch

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Gev, Scaled Scorch leads an aggressive Rakdos combo strategy centered on infinite persist loops. Gev places a +1/+1 counter on entering creatures whenever an opponent has lost life that turn, neutralizing the -1/-1 counter granted by the persist mechanic. By combining Gev with a persist creature such as Putrid Goblin or Murderous Redcap and a free sacrifice outlet like Goblin Bombardment, Viscera Seer, or Carrion Feeder, you generate infinite enter-the-battlefield and death triggers to drain or burn the table. High-speed tutors, explosive ritual mana, Ad Nauseam, and Underworld Breach lines provide unmatched velocity and rapid redundancy.
