Deck overview

This deck is a classic Gruul Landfall strategy built around Omnath, Locus of Rage. It leverages a dense suite of land ramp spells, exploration effects, and graveyard recursion to accelerate well ahead of curve. Once Omnath enters the battlefield, every subsequent land drop produces a 5/5 Elemental token, generating an overwhelming board presence. The deck converts these tokens into table-wide lethality through combat overruns like Craterhoof Behemoth, direct burn via Purphoros, God of the Forge and Warstorm Surge, or sacrifice outlets like Goblin Bombardment. If opponents cast traditional sweepers, Omnath's death triggers weaponize the Elemental army into lethal direct damage. While explosive, highly resilient to combat, and capable of massive card draw, the deck commits heavily to its own development and features minimal instant-speed interaction, leaving it vulnerable to fast opposing combo strategies.
