Deck overview

This Jund deck helmed by Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper executes a traditional aristocrats and graveyard-sacrifice strategy. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap, recursive sacrifice fodder such as Reassembling Skeleton and Cult Conscript, then leveraging Sek'Kuar to convert their deaths into aggressive 3/1 Graveborn creature tokens with haste. Meanwhile, passive drain outlets like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Syr Konrad, the Grim steadily deplete opposing life totals whenever creatures perish. In the mid-to-late game, the deck accelerates its clock through explosive payoffs such as Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord flinging a massive Lord of Extinction or Daemogoth Titan, or by buffing its token swarms with Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest. The list features robust resilience due to redundant reanimation tools and multiple independent centerpieces like Korvold, Fae-Cursed King. While it lacks fast combo finishes and stack protection against exile sweepers, its incremental attrition and steady damage output make it a resilient midrange threat.
