Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie tribal deck focuses on creating an overwhelming undead army and draining opponents through aristocrat synergies. Led by Ghoulcaller Gisa, the primary game plan revolves around deploying efficient early Zombies and mana rocks, casting Gisa on Turn 5, and activating her ability on Turn 6 to sacrifice high-power creatures into dense waves of 2/2 Zombie tokens. The deck accelerates pressure on Turn 7 by layering tribal lords such as Undead Warchief, Death Baron, and Cemetery Reaper, or converting token deaths and entries into life loss via Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. While lacking instant-speed stack interaction, fast mana, and dedicated tutors, the list maintains high functional redundancy across its creature package and recursion engines. It reliably closes games on Turn 9 through wide combat swings and lethal life drain, though its exposed commander and reliance on board presence make it vulnerable to board wipes.
