Deck overview

Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa leads an aggressive Abzan toxic and infect deck designed to eliminate opponents through poison counters and steady proliferation. The primary game plan deploys cheap toxic creatures like Glistener Elf, Blightbelly Rat, and Skrelv, Defector Mite to quickly infect every player. Once opponents are poisoned, the deck transitions into a mid-game engine using Ixhel and Contaminant Grafter to generate card advantage while accelerating poison counts with proliferate triggers from Evolution Sage, Metastatic Evangel, and Bloated Contaminator. The deck closes out games by reaching ten poison counters across all opponents or overwhelming defenses with a lethal Triumph of the Hordes.
