Smaug by user7199979

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm is a turbo-combo commander: his treasure creation and draw-on-Treasure-spend ability convert artifact density into card advantage, but the deck does not require him to win. The primary line is to cast Molten Duplication or Twinflame with Dualcaster Mage, generating infinite hasty Dualcaster tokens that attack for lethal. Secondary paths use Underworld Breach plus Lion's Eye Diamond and Grinding Station to engine into mana/draw and then finish through the same combat step or Walking Ballista. Birgi/Harnfel is the key double-faced utility piece: Birgi adds red per spell for ritual chains, Harnfel filters dead cards; Magda can tutor for Grinding Station/Ring. Every combo line is independent of Smaug.
