Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Jund midrange engine commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. It turns -1/-1 counter distribution into card advantage, life drain, and token generation. The early game focuses on deploying ramp and setup pieces like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Channeler Initiate, and Sinister Gnarlbark. Once the commander resolves on Turn 4, placing counters on your own creatures generates steady card draw, while placing counters on opposing creatures whittles down enemy life totals. In the mid-game, board-controlling powerhouses like Kulrath Knight, Carnifex Demon, and Archfiend of Ifnir neutralize opposing creature boards while Nest of Scarabs and Flourishing Defenses build a wide army. The deck finishes the game on Turns 7 to 8 through lethal combat damage combined with recurring life drain, supported by a backup infinite loop between Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs.
