Alfred Hitchcock's: The Birds by Castievanialord

Format: Commander

Commander: Rendmaw, Creaking Nest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Rendmaw, Creaking Nest is a Golgari goad-and-attrition deck. The primary plan is to cast Rendmaw early, then play the deck's few multi-type cards-Wreckage Wickerfolk, The Swarmweaver, and Demolisher Spawn-so every player gets goaded 2/2 Birds. Those Birds force combat, and death triggers from Blood Artist, Poison-Tip Archer, and Cauldron of Essence turn the carnage into life loss. Secondary paths are a delirium beatdown finish with Demolisher Spawn and a lifegain-drain engine around Professor Dellian Fel, Dina, Soul Steeper, and Beledros Witherbloom. The Swarmweaver acts as a second scarecrow payoff, while Grist, Voracious Larva // Grist, the Plague Swarm is a hidden value engine that can transform into a planeswalker.
