Be Kind to Otters 🦦 by Dalquize7

Format: Commander

Commander: Alania, Divergent Storm

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck wins by casting and copying instants and sorceries. Alania, Divergent Storm copies your first instant, sorcery, and Otter each turn when you let an opponent draw, turning cheap cantrips and rituals into extra value. The main finish is a large Crackle with Power copied with Alania, Twinning Staff, or Galvanic Iteration, or a storm turn with Thousand-Year Storm or Mizzix's Mastery. Secondary wins come from Stormsplitter tokens that multiply with each spell and from Coruscation Mage pings doubled by Harmonic Prodigy and Veyran. Storm-Kiln Artist and Ral act as hidden engines that generate mana and storm copies without the commander.
