Deck overview

This Golgari Saproling deck helmed by Slimefoot, the Stowaway is a pure token-sacrifice value engine. The primary plan is to generate a swarm of 1/1 Saprolings through creatures, spells, and token doublers, then sacrifice them en masse for mana, cards, and, most importantly, table-wide life drain. Slimefoot itself turns each Saproling death into a 1-damage ping to every opponent and a 1-life gain, while supporting pieces like Blood Artist and Mirkwood Bats multiply the reach. The deck wins by grinding out incremental drain over several turns, occasionally bursting with Plumb the Forbidden or Second Harvest. It is a resilient mid-range deck that can rebuild after wipes with recursion like Lich-Knights' Conquest and Funeral Room // Awakening Hall, but it lacks fast combos and relies on sustained token generation to finish the table.
