Deck overview

This Meren of Clan Nel Toth deck is a dedicated Golgari Aristocrats and Reanimator engine built to grind out incremental card advantage, board suppression, and drain finishes. The primary strategy focuses on deploying early ramp and self-mill pieces such as Stitcher's Supplier and Sakura-Tribe Elder to set up the graveyard before casting Meren on Turn 4. Once assembled, Meren's experience counter mechanic turns the graveyard into a repeatable toolbox, recurring utility creatures like Spore Frog for combat defense, Ravenous Chupacabra for creature removal, and Braids, Arisen Nightmare for continuous attrition. The deck transitions into a lethal win condition around Turn 5 by reanimating heavy payloads like Archon of Cruelty or looping Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. Aristocrat staples including Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat steadily drain opponents while Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and Bolas's Citadel provide late-game card velocity.
