Sauron

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis list is built around Sauron, the Dark Lord as a turbo-draw, amass commander. Cast Sauron early; his Ring temptation turns into a discard-and-draw four, while every opponent spell grows an Army. Secondary plans include a control/reanimator shell (free counterspells, wipes, Animate Dead/Victimize), and Sauron, Lord of the Rings acts as a hidden commander that amasses five, mills, and reanimates. Counter synergies-Mauhur, The Ozolith, All Will Be One, and The Great Goblin-make incidental amass lethal. The cleanest finisher is Peer into the Abyss plus Orcish Bowmasters, often with The Great Goblin to convert each draw into three damage.
