Deck overview

This is a classic Esper Zombie tribal deck helmed by Varina, Lich Queen, built around the core loop of attacking with Zombies to draw and discard, then converting that graveyard fuel into an ever-growing board of tokens and recursion. The primary plan is to establish a wide Zombie army, pump it with lords like Lord of the Undead, Diregraf Captain, and Liliana's Mastery, and close out through combat damage, with Corpse Knight and Wayward Servant providing incidental drain. The deck leans heavily on its graveyard as a second hand, using Living Death, Patriarch's Bidding, and Zombie Apocalypse to rebuild after wipes. Secondary win paths include Gray Merchant of Asphodel devotion drain and the token-generation engine of Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver combined with Rooftop Storm for near-unlimited Zombie production.
