The Ancient Living Relic by JK12SG

Format: Commander

Commander: Traxos, Scourge of Kroog

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-colorless artifact-ramp / equipment-voltron deck built around Traxos, Scourge of Kroog, a 7/7 trampling Construct that only untaps when you cast historic spells - and since almost every nonland card in the deck is an artifact, simply playing the deck untaps him. The primary plan is to accelerate with mana rocks, land Traxos a turn or two early, suit him up with Colossus Hammer, Fireshrieker, and Loxodon Warhammer, and then eliminate each opponent with serial 21-point commander-damage hits. A backup artifact-beater package (Darksteel Juggernaut, Myr Battlesphere, Metalwork Colossus) and a small recursion loop (Scrap Trawler, Myr Retriever) give staying power, while Forsaken Monument plus Basalt Monolith provides an infinite-mana line into Endbringer pings. The deck carries no tutors and no counterspells, so it wins through grinding value and combat inevitability rather than assembly speed.
