Deck overview

This Gruul Dragon tribal deck centers on Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient, using mana ramp and cost reducers to cast high-impact Dragons well ahead of curve. The primary game plan accelerates into a Turn 5 Klauth, leveraging its native haste to attack immediately and generate massive bursts of mana equal to the total power of attacking creatures. This mana cascades directly into terrifying aerial beaters such as Atarka, World Render, Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, and Lathliss, Dragon Queen, or bursts of card draw from Rishkar's Expertise and Garruk's Uprising. The deck can win instantly via an infinite combat loop with Hellkite Charger, but its standard path overwhelms the table across two combat cycles through high-flying, double-striking combat damage. While it boasts formidable resilience and high threat density that functions even without the commander, its reliance on combat leaves it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes and fast stack-based combo strategies.
