Deck overview

Volo, Guide to Monsters is the deck's volume engine: the primary plan is cast creature spells with creature types that are not already present, so Volo copies each into a token twin. The deck is not a fast combo deck; its secondary path is big Simic value: Uro, Keruga, Lord of Change, and others draw cards and ramp, while Terastodon and Kogla clear the road. Spark Double is the hidden commander, making a second Volo that doubles every later copy effect. The finishing move is a huge token board, refined by End-Raze Forerunners and Rhonas into one lethal attack. The deck relies on maintaining the creature-type windows rather than assembling an infinite combo.
