Deck overview

This Azorius deck leverages group hug mechanics to fuel a pillowfort control plan. By providing symmetrical card draw through cards like Dictate of Kruphix and Kwain, Itinerant Meddler, it constantly triggers The Council of Four to draw extra cards and produce Knight tokens. The deck deters attacks with heavy taxes such as Ghostly Prison, Sphere of Safety, and Windborn Muse. High card flow digs into the primary win condition, Approach of the Second Sun, which the deck can draw back into hand and recast within a single turn rotation. While the deck generates massive card advantage and maintains resilient board protection, it lacks tutors and relies on soft countermagic, making it vulnerable to non-combat combo decks that can bypass its attack taxes.
