Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Voltron and aggressive beatdown deck led by Wolverine, Best There Is. The primary strategy leverages Wolverine's built-in damage doubling and regeneration to apply extreme commander damage pressure. By equipping Wolverine with powerful artifacts like Blackblade Reforged, Mage Slayer, and Mjölnir, Hammer of Thor, or enchanting him with Level Up, the deck rapidly inflates his combat power. Because Wolverine doubles all damage he deals, even modest power increases translate into lethal one-shot commander kills. Additional combat steps from Fury of the Horde and Seize the Day accelerate the elimination clock across the table. Secondary +1/+1 counter engines like Bristly Bill, Spine Sower, The Ozolith, and Doc Samson, Super Psychiatrist ensure continuous growth and resilience. While the deck boasts high single-target burst lethality, it is vulnerable to exile-based removal and lacks deep card draw engines, making disciplined sequencing and aggressive early pressure essential for victory.
