Deck overview

This deck is an Esper artifact midrange strategy centered on Urza, Chief Artificer. It develops early mana and board presence using cheap artifact creatures, signets, and artifact lands. Once Urza enters the battlefield, his affinity ability reduces future commander tax while his passive grants menace to all artifact creatures. At each of your end steps, Urza creates a Construct token that scales with your total artifact count. The deck backs up this core plan with redundant token producers like Simulacrum Synthesizer and Thousand Moons Smithy // Barracks of the Thousand, converting wide boards of utility artifacts into towering threats. Card advantage engines such as Mystic Forge and The Reality Chip keep resources flowing, while protective pieces like Bronze Guardian and Padeem, Consul of Innovation shield key permanents.
