Deck overview

Derevi, Empyrial Tactician heads a Bant bird-tribal tempo deck that wins by repeated evasive combat damage. The primary plan is to deploy a swarm of flying creatures, discount them with Watcher of the Spheres, and pump the squad with Mirari's Wake, Brokers Ascendancy, and Call for Unity. Derevi's enters/combat-damage triggers untap lands and creatures for postcombat plays, while her command-zone ability keeps her coming back without tax. Secondary lines use lifegain (Healer's Hawk, Gwaihir, Well of Lost Dreams) to generate bird tokens and cards, plus a heavy recursion package to survive board wipes. There is no hidden commander; all legendary birds support the main Derevi plan.
