Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Sultai midrange build centered around Zaxara, the Exemplary. The primary strategy accelerates mana in the first two turns to deploy Zaxara on Turn 3. Once active, Zaxara acts as both a double-mana dork and an army generator, producing a scalable Hydra token whenever an X-spell is cast. The deck compounds this advantage using counter multipliers such as Doubling Season, Branching Evolution, and Unbound Flourishing, while drawing cards through power-based engines like Garruk's Uprising and Up the Beanstalk. It creates an overwhelming board presence by Turn 5 and closes games on Turn 6 via unblockable combat damage with Herald of Secret Streams, an overrun with Finale of Devastation, or direct life loss through Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate. It also features an infinite mana combo using Freed from the Real.
