Deck overview

This deck is a specialized -1/-1 counter midrange and attrition strategy led by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. It leverages early green mana ramp to deploy Auntie Ool ahead of curve, turning every -1/-1 counter placed on friendly creatures into fresh card draw and every counter placed on opposing creatures into direct life drain. The deck controls creature-heavy boards through asymmetric suppression pieces like Kulrath Knight, Necroskitter, and Carnifex Demon that incapacitate and steal opposing threats. Payoffs like Nest of Scarabs and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons translate counter placement into vast swarms of 1/1 tokens that overwhelm opponents while passive drain from Auntie Ool, Lasting Tarfire, and Grave Venerations chips away life totals. An accessible infinite loop between Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs provides an instant closing line when assembled.
