Kaalia by user3388968

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a classic Kaalia of the Vast deck built to cheat out high-impact Angels, Demons, and Dragons by attacking with the commander. The primary game plan is to ramp into Kaalia on turn 3, then use her attack trigger to put massive flyers onto the battlefield tapped and attacking, overwhelming opponents with raw combat damage. The deck includes a handful of extra-combat effects (Scourge of the Throne) and a few recursion pieces (Karmic Guide, Shilgengar, Sire of Famine) to recover from wipes. Secondary win conditions include Hellkite Tyrant's artifact-based alternate win condition and the sheer inevitability of a board full of evasive, high-power threats. The deck is straightforward, linear, and heavily reliant on Kaalia's trigger to generate explosive turns.
