Deck overview

This is a Black-Red Dragon/Treasure deck helmed by Smaug, Wicked Worm. The commander creates a burst of Treasure tokens equal to the number of artifacts opponents control and turns every Treasure-funded spell into a cantrip, making him the deck's primary card-advantage engine. The 99 is packed with dragons that generate Treasures - Goldspan Dragon, Ancient Copper Dragon, Ganax, Astral Hunter, and Rapacious Dragon - which fuel both ramp and the commander's draw ability. The deck wins primarily through flying combat damage, leveraging anthem effects like Crucible of Fire and Stormscale Scion to make the dragon horde lethal, with Hellkite Tyrant's 20-artifact alternate win as a secondary path. It is a midrange value deck that trades early speed for overwhelming treasure-fueled card advantage in the midgame.
