Deck overview

This deck leverages Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos to create a relentless, high-velocity combat clock. Because Alexios untaps, gains a +1/+1 counter, and attacks on every player's turn, it completes four combat phases per table rotation. The deck accelerates Alexios onto the battlefield by Turn 2 or Turn 3 using fast mana and rituals. Once deployed, damage multipliers like The Sound of Drums, Two-Handed Axe // Sweeping Cleave, and Jeska, Thrice Reborn scale Alexios into a one-shot commander damage threat. To protect this clock, the deck deploys shroud and hexproof equipment alongside cheap redirection spells such as Bolt Bend. Simultaneously, asymmetric stax pieces like Blood Moon, Zhao, the Moon Slayer, and Karn, Argent Defender handicap opposing mana and enter-the-battlefield engines. Opponents are forced into combat against each other while your life total remains protected by Alexios's inability to attack its owner.
