Commander: Shilgengar, Sire of Famine

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Shilgengar, Sire of Famine leads an Orzhov Angel tribal and reanimation strategy that converts high-toughness Angels into mass Blood tokens. The primary game plan fills the graveyard using self-mill and sacrifice outlets, then leverages Shilgengar to execute a massive one-turn board resurrection. Reanimating an army of Angels alongside life-draining payoffs such as Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Mirkwood Bats rapidly depletes opponent life totals. Alternatively, the deck overwhelms the table through massive flying combat damage bolstered by Righteous Valkyrie, Lyra Dawnbringer, and Sephara, Sky's Blade, while counter-removal tools bypass finality counters to ensure repeatable value.
