Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord leads a Grixis value deck that turns the Ring-tempt mechanic into card advantage and a growing Orc Army. The primary plan is to trigger Sauron's draw-four by making an Army connect, while casting cheap instants and sorceries; with Lord of the Nazgul as a hidden commander, those same spells generate a swarm of Wraiths that can become 9/9s. A reanimator package (Entomb, Reanimate, Animate Dead, Necromancy) puts Sauron, Lord of the Rings and Mikaeus into play ahead of curve. Secondary beats come from Nazgul counters, evasion equipment, and commander damage. The deck has strong tutors and interaction, but lacks a true two-card combo, so it wins through value and combat.
