Deck overview

This deck is a competitive EDH combo and creature storm list commanded by Animar, Soul of Elements. It leverages dense 0- and 1-mana ramp to deploy Animar on Turn 2, then rapidly adds +1/+1 counters through low-cost creatures and tutors on Turn 3. Once Animar has four counters, Ancestral Statue costs zero generic mana, enabling an infinite self-bounce loop. This loop grows Animar to infinite size and allows the pilot to draw the deck with Beast Whisperer or tutor for Walking Ballista, casting it for lethal direct damage to all opponents in the same turn. Animar's built-in protection from white and black shields the commander from premier removal like Swords to Plowshares and Deadly Rollick, while a suite of free countermagic and redirect effects such as Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat protects the winning turn.
