Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck leverages Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph as a force multiplier, turning every paltry 1-damage trigger into 3 damage. The core loop is simple: deploy a durable "ping" creature like Electrostatic Field or Firebrand Archer, then churn out cheap instants and sorceries to fling 1 damage at opponents, which Ghyrson amplifies. The real engine pieces are flexible unholy: Curiosity and Ophidian Eye transform any pinger (especially a Niv-Mizzet, Parun) into a miniature card-advantage loop, and Goblin Electromancer plus Storm-Kiln Artist reduce and refund spell costs respectively. The deck can win through slow burn, a stormed Grapeshot that deals 3 per copy, or by assembling the classic Niv-Mizzet + Curiosity combo to mill out the table with infinite pings. Finishing is usually done via direct player damage or Laboratory Maniac once the library is drawn.
