Deck overview

This deck executes a focused Dimir Ninjutsu tempo strategy led by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary plan is straightforward and efficient: drop a cheap, unblockable creature on Turn 1, use commander ninjutsu on Turn 2 to sneak Yuriko onto the battlefield, and connect for combat damage. Each hit reveals the top card of the library, drawing it while burning every opponent simultaneously for its mana value. The deck leans on topdeck manipulation like Brainstorm and Ponder to stack devastating high-CMC spells like Shadow of Mortality and Dig Through Time on top of the library. Commander ninjutsu dodges both the stack and commander tax, ensuring Yuriko returns easily after removal. While weak to widespread stax and early sweepers, the deck maintains steady card advantage and applies massive multi-player pressure starting around Turn 4, closing games cleanly around Turn 6.
