X - Wheel of Fortune by Amobius

Format: Commander

Commander: Cleon, Merry Champion

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Cleon, Merry Champion is a mono-red heroic spellslinger deck. The primary plan is to land Cleon early, shield him with Swiftfoot Boots, Mithril Coat, or Hexing Squelcher, then chain cheap targeting instants and sorceries: each heroic trigger exiles a card that can be played, while rituals and treasure generators refund the mana. Cleon's double strike turns pump effects into lethal commander damage; Kediss, extra combat spells, and Chandra's Ignition convert that damage into a table kill. Secondary paths use Birgi, Urabrask, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Past in Flames to become mana-positive and finish with Thor or Longshot pings. Rionya is a backup combat multiplier, but there is no hidden commander: the deck is built around Cleon.
