Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red midrange strategy commanded by Iroh, Dragon of the West. It blends +1/+1 counter synergies with the firebending combat mechanic to generate large bursts of red mana during combat steps. Early turns focus on deploying efficient counter-bearing creatures such as Arcbound Ravager, Spider-Punk, and Firebending Student. When Iroh enters on Turn 4 with haste, he grants firebending 2 to all modified creatures and uses mentor to distribute additional counters. The deck converts combat mana into card advantage, extra combat phases via Great Train Heist, and massive burn spells like Comet Storm and Electrodominance. Mana retention enablers like Ashling, Flame Dancer and Electro, Assaulting Battery preserve unspent red mana across phases. The deck features redirection spells such as Bolt Bend and anti-counter tech via Spider-Punk to protect its threats while racing opponents to a Turn 8 finish.
