Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red control and big-mana burn strategy led by Ashling the Pilgrim. The game plan focuses on consistently hitting land drops and deploying mana acceleration during the early turns to set up Ashling the Pilgrim as a repeatable board wipe and damage engine. In the mid game, the deck resolves mana doublers such as Gauntlet of Might, Gauntlet of Power, and Caged Sun, generating massive amounts of red mana. This surplus mana fuels multi-activation Ashling detonations, powerful Chandra planeswalkers, and high-impact Dragons like Twinflame Tyrant and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames. The deck closes the game around Turn 9 by combining repeated board-wide damage triggers with lethal X-burn spells like Jaya's Immolating Inferno and Banefire. While the deck possesses strong creature control and scaling late-game damage, it lacks stack interaction, enchantment removal, and targeted protection for its key permanents.
