Deck overview

This Abzan deck is commanded by Colfenor, the Last Yew and centers on +1/+1 counter distribution, Warrior synergies, and attrition-based creature combat. Early turns establish efficient modified threats such as Quirion Beastcaller and Bramblewood Paragon. In the mid-game, high-toughness engines like Colfenor, the Last Yew, God-Eternal Oketra, and Hamza, Guardian of Arashin take over the board, converting creature deaths into hand recursion and creature casts into board presence. The deck wins by going wide and tall with evasive and trampling combat damage, closing out games around turn 9. While the deck possesses resilient recursion and steady on-curve mana drops, its low acceleration density and lack of tutors mean it plays at an honest, highly interactive midrange pace.
