Maralen Deck by user9593003

Format: Commander

Commander: Maralen, Fae Ascendant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Maralen, Fae Ascendant leads a BUG Faerie/Elf value engine, and she is both the engine and the hidden-commander question; there is no second commander to pivot to. The deck wants to flood the battlefield with cheap Faeries and Elves, using each ETB to exile the top two cards from an opponent and then cast one stolen card free each turn. Flash enablers such as Leyline of Anticipation and High Fae Trickster let the deck act on every turn, while Obyra, Alela, and Talion's Messenger convert those entries into drains, tokens, and card advantage. Lords like Tegwyll and Scion of Oona push a flying beatdown finish after Shadow Puppeteers mass-transforms the board. Countermagic and bounce keep Maralen alive, and Necropotence supplies late-game card flow.
