Commander: Godo, Bandit Warlord

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-red combo-equipment deck built around Godo, Bandit Warlord. The primary plan is to accelerate into Godo, use his enters-the-battlefield trigger to find Helm of the Host, and convert Godo's attack trigger into an unending chain of combat phases. Ritual mana in the form of Seething Song, Geosurge, Mana Geyser, and Treasonous Ogre lets the deck reach its commander ahead of curve, while equipment cheats like Magnetic Theft, Brass Squire, and Blacksmith's Talent make the Helm of the Host activation affordable. The deck is not a single-line combo deck: backup wins live entirely in the 99, including Combat Celebrant with Aggravated Assault, Dualcaster Mage with Twinflame/Heat Shimmer/Electroduplicate, and even Helm of the Host on Combat Celebrant itself. Stax and protection pieces such as Stranglehold, Blood Moon, Conqueror's Flail, and Grafdigger's Cage buy the time needed to assemble and protect the kill.
