Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Esper Sphinx tribal engine commanded by The Ur-Sphinx. Leveraging its Eminence ability, the deck casts high-impact Sphinx creatures ahead of curve. The core engine is driven by 20 copies of Sphinx's Approach, which act as consistent card draw and provide repeated discards to Sphinx of the Chimes to draw through massive sections of the library. Once five copies of Sphinx's Approach reach the graveyard, subsequent castings tutor heavy hitters like Magister Sphinx, Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign, or Sphinx of the Second Sun directly onto the battlefield. Supported by premier Esper interaction, free protection spells, and efficient reanimation, the deck quickly establishes an overwhelming aerial board state and closes games via Akroma's Will or unblockable flying damage.
